Memories...

Hi all!

While going through my achieves, I found a couple of poems. I wrote this particular one three years ago. I'll be posting some of them on my blog. This one, emmmm I remember feeling quite disappointed at how much people cared for each other. (yeah, i used to be extra sensitive like that, lol).

Then we realise only when something similar happens to us, but its often to late.

I think i was trying to show a technique in this poem, can't remember the literary term for it though. Techniques were fresh in my mind then, when all i did was write. Its not very straight forward but hopefully you get the message.

Its titled 'Forgone Empathy'. xx

Sunrise!!! at work already.
Only to find her strong feet unsteady
No query, no faults, no explanations
an unfair abrupt dismissal.

In her despair
In her pain
Her despair...her pain

Daybreak.
Waking up to find no possessions.
All Lost.
No fire, no robbery, no explanations
An unfair tragic loss of the few he owned.

In his despair
In his pain
His despair...His pain

Its first minutes into the world
Not a move nor a sound
Stillness in its bones...
all through the nine
No signs, no disease, no explanations.

In their despair
In their pain
Their despair...their pain.

Shall we then blame
Fate for its surprises
the tears, the heartaches.
The uncertainty .
...about what will come next.

Oh well.
In their despair
In their pain
Their despair...their pain.

Morning!
My healthy and weary lungs speak.
My limbs ache with gratitude
My heart seeks for more and more

I walk down the stairs
On this bright day!

Unexpectedly.

If I had known...
help would have been given

All these and the inevitable
sting of death.
A rush of fears
....of tears...
On the day, so gay?

and it is silenced.
Silenced...Silenced

Silence.

In whose despair
In whose pain
Despair and Pain.

Yours,
